Sue Harrison

Board Member

Sue Harrison is a consultant specialising in organisational development, change management and international cultural relations. Sue joined the arts funding system in 1985 as Dance Officer in Yorkshire, following 18 years of teaching. From 1995-2004 she was CEO of North West Arts Board and then Director of Arts: British Council. She has held a number of interim management roles including : Assistant Director (ARTS) West Midlands Arts, Deputy Secretary General of Arts Council England, CEO for Visiting Arts, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society and Lanternhouse in Cumbria. Sue was also programme adviser to LARC (Liverpool Arts and Regeneration Consortium) – the ACE Thrive programme and co-author of the ACE publication “A Window on Dance”. She chairs the Bluecoat in Liverpool and is an active board member of Merseyside Dance Initiative and Birmingham Royal Ballet.
