Our dance artists can deliver sessions tailored specifically to the needs of different community groups. We can deliver training days for dance artists, teachers and group leaders on how best to use dance and movement when working with early years groups, older people and working in a health setting.
We can also produce bespoke creative dance projects to help build confidence, promote healthy lifestyles and improve wellbeing and physical fitness.
We have delivered dance packages and workshops to community groups, schools and colleges, housing associations, NHS Trusts, businesses and local authorities.

Here are some comments from people who have been involved in or seen projects or performances run by MDI:
Occasionally the way our young people display their illness makes them difficult to engage in any therapeutic activity; however Maxine accepts this and finds an approach that can involve them. Maxine always finds something positive to say and gives the young people lots of praise, which obviously has a positive impact on their confidence and self esteem.

I can’t believe that I’m involved in something like this. It has made me feel part of the wider world.

The performance was powerful, overwhelming, and each young person of the group grew a little taller that day.
