'During the last eighteen months, we have had a higher number of members on the long term sick list... This led to a substantial number feeling depressed...the introduction of dancing has been 100% successful!
As soon as Wendy switched her music on and invited everyone to join in with her chair-based exercises and dancing, those who were reluctant decided to have a go. The transformation was terrific! As Wendy worked her magic, even those who like me who have two left feet and no sense of coordination, were able to feel like Fred Astaires and Ginger Rogers!'
Stan Cox, The North Liverpool Breathe Easy Group
'From a professional perspective I am inspired by [Maxine's] ability to connect with people and enable them to exercise and become energised, yet relaxed and feel good about themselves, leaving the group with a feeling of connectivity and warmth. [Maxine's] sessions have certainly helped to promote the cohesiveness of the group. I have witnessed people with chronic pain exercise freely in a very safe and positive environment and in a way that was such fun.
From a personal perspective I suffer from COPD and have had a recent progression of the condition. I have benefitted from the sessions by focusing on how I breathe, I felt my posture had improved after the session, I felt very relaxed and had a great sleep that night!'
