Dance performance works inspired by Akram Khan’s Big Dance Pledge. Khan has created a powerful and meditative dance which is beautiful to watch, accessible with wide appeal. The piece explores the body and its place in the digital world we live in, the rituals and spirituality we may encounter and our connections to other human beings. Through the evening we will see this dance reinvented in different ways by dancers of all ages and backgrounds inspired by its themes, making the ordinary beautiful. Groups will take the original choreography and transform it into a new dance work that represents their group style
