Catalogue Of Great Ape Gestures (In Alphabetical Order)

30 April 2020 - 30 June 2020 | All Day | FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) | Not on sale

This event is currently postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to share new dates for these performances soon, once FACT are able to announce revised exhibition dates.

Liverpool based dance artist Nicolette Whitley will be performing every Saturday as part of FACT’s upcoming exhibition And Say the Animal Responded? (dates TBC). Nicolette will bring to life Amalia Pica and Rafael Ortega’s artwork Catalogue of great ape gestures (in alphabetical order), (2018), which explores non-human language through movement.

This co-commission with FACT is part of MDI’s new Talent Hub, an exciting, experimental project where 21 dance artists come together to create and develop new work, here on Hope Street.

Co-commissioned by FACT and MDI. Supported using public funding by Arts Council England and funded by Liverpool City Council.
