Beginners ballet is ideal for those who have never danced before, or have a small amount of experience. The class focuses on learning basic classical ballet technique, including correct posture, positioning of the feet and arms, and developing muscle strength and flexibility.
The class starts with exercises on the barre focusing on alignment and developing muscle strength. An easy stretch then moves us onto centre work (in the middle of the studio, away from the barre), focusing on control, balance and travelling steps.
Taught at a basic level, this class teaches beginners’ technique to prepare you to move onto the open level class when you’re feeling ready.
This class is led by Helen McCarron on behalf of MDI. For class information, contact 0151 7088810 / [email protected]
This class is led by MDI, and a 10 Class Card is available (£50 standard / £40 concessions), redeemable against any highlighted class. Please speak to your teacher to buy a card from us.
