Beginners ballet is ideal for those who have never danced before, or have a small amount of experience. The class focuses on learning basic classical ballet technique, including correct posture, positioning of the feet and arms, and developing muscle strength and flexibility.
The class starts with exercises on the barre focusing on alignment and developing muscle strength. An easy stretch then moves us onto centre work, focusing on control, balance and travelling steps.
Taught at a basic level by professional dancer Helen McCarron, participants can move at their own pace and have fun dancing!
