“MDI is not only the main champion of dance in the region, it is one of the leaders in championing diversity arts in the country. Their work, whether promoting quality dance or community access to great dance experiences, is second to none.”
– Francisco Carrasco, Luma Productions
At MDI we’re passionate about talent development, and our volunteering initiative is just one way we support the next generation of dance artists and creative professionals.
We’ve just announced opportunities to get involved with LEAP’s first ever Fringe Festival as a volunteer, with roles including:
- Stage management
- Artist Liaison
- Stewards / ushers
The Fringe is brand new for LEAP 2019 and will take over Hope Street for two days: 11 and 12 October. All of our Fringe performers are from the North West, and aged 18-30, so we’re extending the opportunity to those interested in the technical side of the event, to develop skills locally in all areas of the performing arts.
You can find more information about volunteering, and our application pack here.
As well as the annual festival, there’s opportunities to work with us all year round, and we’re always looking for keen dancers (whatever your level) to support:
- Summer schools throughout July + August
- Performances and events
- Weekly classes, including all of our Dance for Health initiatives
Interested? Or have another idea about how you could get involved? Get in touch with us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.
