All classes are currently postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check the website or follow us on social media for updates.
With a focus on contemporary dance, these classes are for people aged 50 and over who are interested in dance, keeping fit and socialising with a great group of people.
The class uses taught exercises to encourage increased mobility, balance and fitness, as well as promoting memory within movement, by building on sequences to create dance works for performance (for those who wish to perform at one of our regular events).
This class is led by dance artist Leila Chebbi on behalf of MDI. Contact MDI at 0151 7088810 / [email protected]
We're delighted to be welcoming you back to the studio following lockdown and have new processes and measures in place to keep you safe. Please read our Studio Guidelines before booking.
We're based at 24 Hope Street, with Studio 1 on the Ground Floor, and Studio 2 on the first floor. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
What to Wear
Leggings and t-shirts or other comfortable clothes are perfect for most classes. Some classes recommend specific dance shoes, but otherwise bare feet is fine. Check with us in advance if you are unsure.
Payments & Pricing
Studio classes are run both by MDI and by independent teachers who hire the studio. As such, prices vary and some are subsidised through our charitable funding.
Some classes run right through term breaks, others take time out. Please check the website to find out when your class is running.
All classes are suitable for adults aged 16+ (unless otherwise stated).
