Our annual dance platform for schools gives young people from across Liverpool City Region the chance to perform on a real theatre stage. Last year’s event featured 17 performances from 14 schools, and we can’t wait to see what 2020’s celebration of youth talent brings.
This year’s event will take place on World Book Day, Thursday 5 March at Liverpool Hope University’s Capstone Theatre in Everton.
We are looking for groups from Primary, Secondary, SEND schools and 6th Form Colleges from across Liverpool City Region to take part in this event. Contact [email protected] to see how you can get involved.
Each year group’s present original dance works based on a central theme and this years is literature. We want to see dances inspired by books, poems, plays and other works of literature.
Get in touch as soon as possible to confirm your groups participation in this event and to identify what work you will be basing your performance on, as we don’t want to have any reproduction within the programme.
The one-night event is a unique showcase for the brilliant work taking place in education settings across the region, and a friendly, non-competitive environment for children and young people to develop confidence, performance skills and meet other dance fanatics.
Venue address: 17 Shaw Street, Liverpool L6 1HP (on street parking available around the Liverpool Hope University campus).
