MDI are delighted to collaborate with DanceSyndrome to deliver a series of inclusive & Innovative dance sessions.
Helen Cherry & David Darcy welcome you to a series of fun, inclusive and lively dance sessions! Meet new friends, express your creativity and learn new skills in this unique co-led dance class.
Dancing Together: A partnership with Dance Syndrome’s Everybody Dance. will include both upbeat and gentle dance, and movement to music, helping participants to build their confidence, exercise creativity and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
Clothing: Please dress for comfort ensuring you have complete freedom of movement.
What to Bring Along: We recommend that you bring along a large bottle of water. Small snacks such as fruit or cereal are also welcome. Don’t worry if you forget to bring along water, as we have a kitchen in the studio
Parents, Guardians and carers. Parents, carers and guardians are welcome. We will have some seating available in the dance studio, and also in other areas within the building.
Parking: The nearest car parks are a private car park on the corner of Hope Street and Myrtle Street, or a public multi-storey pay and display car park near the foot of Mount Pleasant. There is also metered parking available on Hope Street. The Metropolitan Cathedral has a pay and display car park, accessible from Hope Street and open daily until 6pm. By signing up to participate in class you are agreeing to be featured in the class recording or photograph. If you do not wish to be featured in a class recording or photograph, please speak to a member of the MDI team.
Practicing at Home
Please make sure you have plenty of space to practice safely and comfortably. Take a rest or a water break any time you need one. If you are practicing yoga or pilates please back out of any postures that bring you pain or discomfort, take a rest and come back to the class when you are ready. Your teacher will give you any additional instructions or advice at the start of your Zoom.

We're based at 24 Hope Street, with Studio 1 on the Ground Floor, and Studio 2 on the first floor. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
What to Wear
Leggings and t-shirts or other comfortable clothes are perfect for most classes. Some classes recommend specific dance shoes, but otherwise bare feet is fine. Check with us in advance if you are unsure.
Payments & Pricing
Studio classes are run by MDI and some are subsidised through our charitable funding.
Some classes run right through term breaks, others take time out. Please check the website to find out when your class is running.
All classes are suitable for adults aged 16+ (unless otherwise stated).
